The items you see here come from a time when things were hand made in small quantities by skilled workmen using hand picked materials. Old doors for instance were made with timber from trees a hundred and fifty years old when cut down, whilst nowadays trees are felled at half that age after their growth rate slows. The timber does not therefore have the same fine grain, density or character of previous generations. As doors make up a large and very visible part of a house, using old doors can do a lot to transform a space into something special with features that give pleasure and add value to your home.

Having had a business restoring our own properties and working with clients on carpentry and flooring projects for the past twelve years, we started sourcing architectural antiques seven years ago and this has grown into the salvage yard and workshop business we run today.
